What is a VR therapy or virtual reality therapy?
VR therapy is a new approach in the treatment of anxiety disorders and is based on the theory of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
VR therapy uses hardware and software resources to create a virtual environment and allow the client to experience a simulation.
Various fears such as fear of heights, fear of speaking in public, fear of flying, fear of spiders can be triggered by visual and acoustic stimuli.
With VR therapy, the client is able to immerse himself in a virtual world under the supervision of a therapist and slowly approach the respective fears and
is based on the principle of habituation and continuous desensitization.
